John Weeks is publisher-editor of the Integrator Blog News & Reports (www.theintegratorblog.com) that links the leadership of the diverse stakeholders and disciplines involved in integrative health and medicine. Weeks’s work in the field includes: consultant to the National Institutes of Health and the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner; panelist for the White House Commission on CAM Policy; two-time working group member to the World Health Organization’s 2014-2023 Traditional Medicine Strategy; executive director of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians; presenter for the American Hospital Association, and medical schools at Georgetown, UCLA, Harvard, Bastyr, NUHS and U Arizona; and service as a resource for the US Institute of Medicine, the New York Times, Boston Globe, Newsweek, Modern Healthcare and others. Weeks co-convened the Integrative Medicine Industry Leadership Summits (2000-2002), co-founded and directed the National Education Dialogue to Advance Integrated Healthcare, fund-raised the start-up of the Integrative Health Policy Consortium, and co-founded and grew the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Healthcare, serving as executive director from 2007-2015. Weeks attended Stanford for three years. Four academic institutions have granted him honorary doctorates.
