Probiotics in Immunity: Are All Strains Created Equal?

Presented by:
Natures-Source-Logo

Probiotics are currently one of the most commonly recommended supplements by both traditional and alternative medical practitioners. There have been thousands of papers published to date exploring the various health impacts different strains of probiotics have on human health. The focus of the lecture will be on the direct immune stimulating and shifting effects that various strains have on immune functions. This will enable attendees to make strain specific recommendations based on the individual immune concerns of their patient.

We will also discuss the importance of working alongside a natural health dispensary to ensure patients are getting recommendations of highly educated trained staff instead and are receiving top quality products.

 Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will be able to list probiotic strains the skew the immune system toward Th1 or Th2
  • List which probiotic strains require enteric coated and refrigeration
  • Be able to explain to patients which probiotics are going to benefit their immune function and conditions such as: allergies, asthma and eczema.
