Integrative Healthcare Symposium Annual Conference Expanding in 2019
Making room for influx of providers migrating toward more integrative practices
PORTLAND, Maine (January 15, 2019) — On Feb. 20-23, 2019 in New York City, the Integrative Healthcare Symposium will mark its 15th edition by expanding to a third floor of the New York Hilton Midtown. The Symposium is the only annual conference where multi-disciplinary medical practitioners come together as a cohesive community; and in recent years, that community has seen rapid growth, both in size and in demand for its services.
The added space will create room for new attendees, vendors and activities, and will serve as a hub for some of the most experiential, high-energy elements of the conference. It will be the new home of the Speaker & Networking Lounge where practitioners will be able to connect face-to-face with speakers and ask them more questions after their sessions. Integrative Practitioner LIVE!, a series of live interviews and audience Q+A opportunities with prominent conference speakers, will also take place on the new third floor, as will a series of daily yoga, movement classes, and poster sessions.
The exhibit hall will feature more than 200 leading integrative healthcare businesses and organizations ranging from supplement labs to diagnostic technologies, educational institutions and more. Over the three-day event, these companies will showcase clinically-relevant products and services to help practitioners and healthcare professionals keep in touch with the latest in integrative healthcare. The Product Showcase will highlight some of these products. The exhibitor list registered to date can be viewed here.
In addition to the educational program and exhibit hall, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers at the Speakers’ Reception & Book Signing and participate in daily lunch & learn presentations (pre-registration is required) and non-CME symposia.
Practitioners can also sign up for one of the two pre-conference sessions that will take place on Wednesday February 20, 2019 from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Recharge Your Batteries: Nutritional Focus on Resiliency will be led by Robert Bonakdar, MD; Jesmond Dalli, PhD; Carl Germano, CNS, CDN; Slavko Komarnytsky, PhD; Jay Lombard, DO; and Jennifer Stagg, ND. The full day education will explore the role of nutrition in resiliency and the interplay in the inflammation, endocannabinoid, microbiome, and detoxification system with nutritional therapy. The New Frontier in Natural Medicine: Tocotrienols, CBD, Liposomes, and Geranylgeraniol will be presented by Barrie Tan, PhD; Alex Capano, PhD; and Chris Shade, PhD. This interactive day session will highlight novel compounds and innovative protocols for clinical application. Attendees will learn the evidence basis around tocotrienols, phytocannabinoids, liposomes, and geranylgeraniol, with engaging presentations and clinical rounds for translating the research into practice. These pre-conferences are ticketed separately and can be bundled with a full conference pass for a discounted rate.
Conference registration is now open and includes access to all Thursday, Friday and Saturday sessions and events. The full conference schedule can be viewed here. Exhibit Hall passes are free with the conference pass and can also be purchased separately. Full details are available at ihsymposium.com/register.
Qualified members of the press employed by accredited consumer or trade news organizations are invited to attend and must pre-register for a press pass at ihsymposium.com/press.
