Mobile App FAQ’s

STEP 1 – DOWNLOAD
1. Find your invitation. Check your email for an invitation message from CrowdCompass.

2. Download the AttendeeHub App. Click Download the App to be taken to the App store. Click Download and wait for the app to install on your device.

STEP 2 – VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT
1. Return to your Invitation. Once the app has finished installing, open your invitation email again. Click Verify Account.

2. Confirm your Verification. Click Open App to complete the verification via your brand new mobile app!

Once you’re logged in to the app, you can update your mobile profile, your digital business card that you can use to network with other attendees. To update your information:

1. From the event homescreen, tap the three lines at the top and then tap the gear icon at the top on iOS or the top-most down arrow on Android.

2. Tap Profile Settings.

3. From here, you can include a photo of yourself, edit your profile information, add contact information, and link your account to social media platforms for easy posting from the app.

Already see information filled in? That’s probably what IHS had on file from your registration. Feel free to update it if something changed.

ON iOS:

1. Access the Notifications menu. From the home screen tap Settings, then Notifications.

2. Turn on Notifications for the app. Find the Integrative Healthcare Symposium app on the list and tap its name. Switch Allow Notifications on.

ON ANDROID:
Note: Not all Android phones are the same. The directions below walk you through the most common OS, Android 5.0.

1. Access the Notification menu. Swipe down on the home screen, then click the gear in the top right. Tap Sounds and Notifications.

2. Turn on Notifications in the event App. Scroll down and tap App notifications. Find Integrative Healthcare Symposium on the list. Switch notifications from off to on.

Stay up-to-date with the latest event news and announcements like schedule changes, reminders, and contest winners.

1. Tap the three lines icon at the top left of the screen to pull out the side nav.

2. Tap Activity Feed.

3. Tap Notifications.

ON iOS:

1. Find the page that has the PDF you’d like to download attached to it. Under the documents header, click the name of the PDF. 


2. Tap the export icon in the top right corner of the screen to open an options menu. Tap Copy to iBooks to save the PDF on your device, tap Mail to share it in an email as an attachment, or tap Print to print the PDF to any printer on the same Wi-Fi network.

ON ANDROID:

1. Find the page that has the PDF you’d like to download attached to it. Under the documents header, click the name of PDF.


2. Tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner to open a pop-up window. Using these buttons, you can either send the file with your chosen email client, open it with a program of your choice, download the file to your device, or print it using any printer on the same Wi-Fi network as you.

You can take notes on sessions, speakers, other attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors directly in the app. To do this:

1. Find the page you’d like to take a note on.

2. Tap the pencil icon.

3. Write your note.

You can access all of your notes in the side menu under My Items under the My Notes icon. From there, you can export all of your notes by emailing them to yourself, or anyone else.

CrowdCompass is always releasing new features so it is important for you to be on the latest operating version so you can advantage of all of the latest features.

ON iOS:
1. Navigate to the App Store on the Attendees device
2. In the bottom right of the App Store, tap on Updates
3. Check to see if the App has an update available

ON ANDROID:
1. Navigate to the Play Store on the Attendees device
2. Tap on the Extras button in the top left and select My Apps
3. Check to see if the App had an update available

General Searches

The search feature searches everything within the app, including sessions, speakers, organizations, and information pages.

Looking for an attendee?

The app only searches for attendees from the attendee list, so if you’re looking for someone, tap the Attendees icon to see who’s here.

1. Tap the Speakers icon.

2. Tap Speakers by Name.

3. Tap the name of a speaker from the list to see their profile.

Want to save a favorite speaker? Tap Bookmark on the speaker’s profile. To quickly find them again, tap the Speakers icon, then Bookmarked Speakers.

If you’re having trouble downloading the app or experiencing other critical issues, you’ll want to ensure your phone is up to date. NOTE: Before completing an update, ensure you have a back-up of their device saved on a personal computer and are connected to WiFi.

iOS:

1. Navigate to the Settings icon on the Attendees device

2. Tap on General and then Software Update.

ANDROID:

1. Navigate to the Settings menu on your device.

2. Tap the About Phone label and select the Android Version label.

3. Tap on Software Update

Tap the Schedule icon to see the full event schedule with session times, descriptions, speakers, and where they’re happening.

Tap the plus sign next to the session name to add it to your schedule to create a personalized agenda. Tap My Schedule from any view within the schedule to access your agenda for that day or see what you’re up to tomorrow.

Want to add your event schedule to your device’s calendar? Tap the download icon at the top right of the screen. A confirmation screen will appear. Tap Export.

Set Your Profile to Private:

1. Access your profile settings. If you’d rather have control over who can see your profile, you can set it to private. 

After logging in, tap the 3 lines icon, then your name at the top of the screen.

2. Check the box. At the top of your Profile Settings, make sure the box next to ‘Set Profile to Private’ is checked.With this setting enabled you’ll have to approve another attendee’s contact request before they can view your profile.

Hide Your Profile Entirely:

1. Access the Attendee List. Rather focus on the conference? Log in, open the Event Directory, and tap the Attendees icon.

2. Change your Attendee Options. Click the Silhouette icon in the top right to pen Attendee Options. Make sure the slider next to ‘Show Me On Attendee List’ is switched off. Fellow attendees will no longer be able to find you on the list at all. 

Exporting Individual Contacts:

1. Tap My Contacts from the side menu.

2. Tap the icon in the upper-right that is shaped like a box with a down arrow going into it.

3. Select the contacts you would like saved, then tap Export.

4. Confirm your export.

5. Contacts will be saved to the device as part of a group named after the event in your device’s default calendar.

Exporting All Contacts:

1. Tap My Contacts from the side menu.

2. Tap the icon in the upper-right that is shaped like a box with a down arrow going into it.

3. Tap Export All.

4. Confirm your export.

5. Contacts will be saved to the device as part of a group named after the event in your device’s default calendar.

If you aren’t seeing content sync to the app and you have already ensured you are connected to Wi-Fi or data, the next step is to re-download the event:

1. Tap on the 3 lines at the top of the event’s homescreen.

2. Tap on the Gear symbol for iOS or arrow for Android and select ‘Back to All Events’.

3. Press and hold down on the event until a red trashcan appears.

4. Tap on the trashcan and then re-download the event by tapping on it.
