Healthcare will transform as we enter into a post-COVID world and chiropractic will play a growing role. Emphasizing the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of surgery or drugs, chiropractic optimizes health by addressing musculoskeletal conditions, pain syndromes, ergonomics, neuroplasticity, and lifestyle practices. Chiropractors are trained to practice integrative healthcare, collaborating with other healthcare providers to benefit their patients.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Explain the expanding role of chiropractors as specialists in spine care, ergonomics, lifestyle practices, nutrition and prevention.
  2. Discuss the emerging research on chiropractic and neuroplasticity and how chiropractic can play a key role in acute and chronic pain management in light of the ongoing national opioid crisis.
  3. Review how chiropractors function as portal of entry into the healthcare system, and can collaborate with and refer to other healthcare providers to benefit patients.
