Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the leading forms of talk therapy, uses a variety of interventions to address common thought distortions. Stressors associated with the Covid-19 pandemic have exacerbated these thought distortions and unhealthy thinking patterns in those who work in healthcare settings. Healthcare providers may benefit from techniques used in CBT as a way to improve thinking patterns in stressful situations.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Recognize common thought distortions seen in healthcare workers.
  2. Identify techniques used in CBT to address common thought distortions.
  3. Use and teach CBT techniques in stressful situations.
