Janet Mindes, PhD is Faculty for Research Instruction and Development at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA) in New York City. Dr. Mindes received her BA from Harvard University and her PhD from New York University in experimental psychology. Dr. Mindes has over twenty-five years of experience in psychological and neuroscience research and education, with a focus on integrative medicine (IM) since 1998, particularly as relevant to the brain, emotion and neuropsychiatric conditions. From 1998 to 2007, she was a member of the former Rosenthal Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (P&S) in New York City and was active in other research and educational efforts at Columbia P&S until 2015. Since 2015, she has been on the faculty of TSCA. She is also an independent researcher, writer and editor primarily in medicine and science.
