Mark A. Breiner, DDS, FAGD, FIAOMT, is a pioneer and recognized authority in the field of biological and holistic dentistry. He is a health visionary with over 30 years of experience in helping patients find solutions to baffling, unresolved health problems—even those that are seemingly unrelated to dentistry. Dr. Breiner has been a leader in identifying dental hazards to whole-body health, including challenging the safety of placing mercury in the mouth.
A graduate of the Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Breiner served as a captain in the U.S. Army at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, where he was appointed head of the Dental Prosthetics Department. Dr. Breiner is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a past president and fellow of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and a Diplomate of the College of Dentistry, American Association of Integrative Medicine. He is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), The Holistic Dental Association (HDA) and The International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM). He is a board member of the non-profit organization Consumers for Dental Choice. A long-time student of homeopathy, Dr. Breiner integrates homeopathy and EAV, energetic acupuncture testing, to treat his patients at both a physical and non-physical level. He has studied orthodontics and temporomandibular joint dysfunction as it relates to sleep breathing disorders in children and adults as well as its relationship to chronic facial pain.
Dr. Breiner is the author of Whole-Body Dentistry®: A Complete Guide to Understanding the Impact of Dentistry on Total Health. He is a contributing author to the medical text book, Nutritional and Integrative Strategies in Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Breiner’s never-ending enthusiasm for learning new and better ways to get healthy and to stay healthy has made him a sought-after media expert. Dr. Breiner has appeared on national network news and nationally syndicated radio; he has also been featured in numerous print publications. He is a popular lecturer who appeals to both lay and professional audiences. Dr. Breiner is the director of Whole-Body Dentistry, which is a division of the Breiner Whole-Body Health Center in Fairfield, Connecticut.
