Roberta Stanhope has been in practice for thirty years as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and for ten years prior as an RN. Stanhope specializes in providing psychiatric evaluations and pharmacological management with a focus on non-addictive treatments using an integrative and holistic perspective.
Stanhope is experienced with treating psychiatric issues including, but not limited to, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Bipolar, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Grief, Psychosis, and Substance Use Disorder Recovery. Stanhope attained her BSN from Boston University and MSN from USF.
Stanhope’s clinical experience ranges from settings including Federally-Qualified Health Centers, Military, Correctional, Neurological and Psychopharmacological practices.
Stanhope is an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Hampshire, where she developed Neuropsychiatric coursework for graduate students. Additionally, Stanhope has extensive volunteer work experience in settings ranging from elementary schools, free clinics, working with disadvantaged teens, and Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team crisis-response. Stanhope uses a strengths-based model in her clinical work, prioritizing coping strategy implementation. Stanhope is highly regarded in her clinical practice for providing clients with collaborative tailored individual integrative treatment plans to achieve stabilization and optimum mental health.
