2022 Continuing Education

The Integrative Healthcare Symposium will offer healthcare professionals the opportunity to earn continuing education credits through three days of in-person, multi-disciplinary learning. 

This page will be updated as available credits for the 2022 event are confirmed. 


Register to Attend

It is the responsibility of the attendee to adhere to the continuing education requirements of his/her state licensing board and to ensure these credits will be approved before registering for the conference*. Integrative Healthcare Symposium cannot provide this information to attendees. The Integrative Healthcare Symposium does not work directly with specific boards.

*Changes or additions to accreditation made after the conference may incur an administrative fee.

All attendees will receive a Letter of Attendance, which includes a general statement that the event was approved for 10.25 AMA PRA credits.

Course Approval

The total number of approved continuing education credits is determined by the individual educational provider. Please thoroughly review the information below for total approved credits by discipline.

Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Pri-Med Institute and Diversified Communications. Pri-Med Institute is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Pri-Med Institute designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CME faculty have been asked to disclose discussion of unlabeled or unapproved use(s) of drugs or devices, and will be discussing many topics that are new and evolving. Faculty will cite credible sources that present a balanced view of evidence, and will identify content that hasn’t been included in scientifically accepted guidelines or published in journals with national/international stature.

All approved sessions are clearly marked on the Schedule as CME APPROVED and will be located in Grand Ballroom West.

TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE, YOU MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE EVALUATION

  • This evaluation will be available beginning Monday, February 21, 2022 at 5:00pm and closes April 1, 2022.
  • You will be required to enter your badge number so keep that information accessible. You can find your badge number on your conference badge as well as your confirmation email.
  • Once you complete the online evaluation, you will be sent a copy of the Certificate via email to the address provided at registration. The Certificate will arrive within two weeks of the survey completion. You can then submit the Certificate to your state board.

Nurses and Nurse Practitioners

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the American Holistic Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 

Approved to award 29.5 contact hours. 

Approval for contact hours through the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) is based on an assessment of the educational merit of this program and does not constitute endorsement of the use of any specific modality in the care of clients.

TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE, YOU MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE EVALUATION

  • This evaluation will be available beginning Monday, February 21, 2022 at 5:00pm and closes April 21, 2022.
  • Attendees must attend the session and may not miss more than 10 minutes of activity.
  • The participant will only receive continuing education contact hours for those activities in which they participated.
  • Afterwards participants are to complete and submit the electronic Participant Evaluation form to receive contact hours within 2 months of conference.
  • Attendees will be required to enter your state license number and badge number so keep that information accessible. You can find your badge number on your conference badge as well as your confirmation email.
  • Once you complete the online evaluation, you will be sent a copy of the Certificate via email to the address provided at registration. The Certificate will arrive within two weeks of the survey completion. You can then submit the Certificate to your state board.

Dietitians and Nutritionists

Courses at the 2022 Integrative Healthcare Symposium will be approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for CPEU’s (Continuing Professional Education Units) for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN™) or Registered Dietitians (RD™); Nutrition and Dietetics Technicians, Registered (NDTR™) or Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR™); and Board Certified Specialists in Nutrition and Dietetics.

This live activity is approved for 15.75 CPEUs/hours from CDR (Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing Agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) and an additional 3 hours of exhibit time. CPEU is level 1 & level 2.

Doctors of Chiropractic

Continuing education credit (CE) for Doctors of Chiropractic is processed through Northeast College of Health Sciences. ONLY the following states have been applied to for CE credit: NY, PA (pending), Pre-Approved: CO, CT, DE, DC, ID, IL, IN, IA, MA, MD, MS*, MT, NE, NC, ND, NH, NJ (DC only), OH, OR, RI, SC, UT, VT, VA, WA, WY, Puerto Rico, Canadian Provinces (except AB);

This course is valid for Doctor of Chiropractic CE credits in “pre-approved” states, so long as it falls within the scope of practice as outlined by the corresponding state board and complies with the delivery format attendance requirements. . It remains attendees’ responsibility to contact the state board(s) from which they seek continuing education credits for purposes of ensuring said board(s) approves both the delivery method and content as they relate to this event. *Does not accept online License Renewal: While applications relating to credit hours for license renewal in selected states have been executed for these programs, it remains attendees’ responsibility to contact the state board(s) from whom they seek continuing education credits for purposes of ensuring said board(s) approve both venue and content as they relate to any seminar/course/lecture/webinar /online presentation (event). Neither a speaker’s or exhibitor’s presence at said event, nor product mention or display, shall in any way constitute Northeast College endorsement. Northeast College’s role is strictly limited to processing, submitting, and archiving program documents.

Acupuncturists and Practitioners of Traditional Oriental Medicine

Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine Continuing Education Units/Professional Activity Development Points are sponsored by Pacific College of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine – NCCAOM®.

Integrative Healthcare Symposium conference sessions have been approved and will include a maximum of 15.75 PDA/CEUs (Professional Development Activity) including 2+ Ethics category credits in the AOM-BIO category from National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
