Endothelial health has a profound effect on overall health. As scientific knowledge has advanced, strategies for supporting endothelial health have improved. In particular, a deep understanding of the different pathways and mechanisms by which nitric oxide is produced, transformed, stored, and released has allowed new breakthroughs to emerge. In this presentation, Dr. Houston will describe this emerging science, as well as introduce strategies that synergistically support endothelial health. He will also describe a recent IRB-approved study in which he was the Principal Investigator, evaluating how a new product affected blood pressure and salivary nitric oxide levels. Dr. Mark Houston will provide a detailed introduction to this important innovation and its relationship to the endothelial glycocalyx. He’ll explain how it works, why it matters, and how you can use it to achieve better vascular outcomes.
